I M Open Season
As I surf through my e-mails, I counted slowly at first, then I just started hitting delete in a big way – just to keep my sanity.
This is Internet Marketing Open Season. Have all these IM guys gone crazy? I can’t believe there’s that much money available with all these offers out there.
My sense is that there can’t be enough room for new IM players to make it really big unless more new would be players or Newbies are on the market today.
Come clean now guys – it’s getting very much harder now isn’t it?
Why do I say that?
Well, look at the number of e-mails spurting out of those autoresponders per marketer. Up to 6 aday is not uncommon during a launch. Daily e-mails or twice daily e-mails is common now. All fighting for that ever rarer opt-in and even more difficult “buy”. It’s a numbers game and the little guys must be getting pretty discouraged without the bigger budgets of their “gurus”.
And you know what? I hate to say this but I’m getting very tired of those endless streams of e-mails and I’m actually considering using the “Report Spam” button for at least 95% of them…
But I recognise that they are all trying to make a living, I’ll politely just nudge them into classified folders and “junk” mail. AT least, they won’t be banned. Besides, some of these e-mails have really good info on them.
Well, I won’t be naming names then as I had originally intended to blow the whistle on the worst offenders. Friends of mine have been complaining bitterly and are asking me to lend a hand and get the overzealous ones banned by their e-mail client provider.
Sorry guys, I won’t go that far. Legitimate businesses on the Internet need to continue. ANd yes, I whole heartedly agree on getting the spammers and scammers off-line for good.
